We have product-market fit, are growing exponentially, and need exceptionally motivated talent to join our new HQ in Toronto.-- Join us as ' Head of Finance ' and help us disrupt an entire industry!--We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled finance wizard, to be the founding member of our accounting, budgeting, and financial operations globally. You will employ financial models to drive strategic investments and decision-making, own our budgeting process, and collaborate closely with functional leaders. As we grow, you will scale our administrative processes and implement technological solutions for our accounting needs. You will oversee our external accounting teams, are deeply involved in long-term planning and major strategic decisions, and report directly to the CEO. Your Mission:

• Functional responsibility for all global finance and accounting operations, including oversight of financial reporting, ownership of financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting, and management of billing and expense operations
• Lead and control bookkeeping, AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, taxes, and BI
• Cooperate with external accounting, tax, and legal teams
• Assist management in driving short and long-term strategic planning, while improving efficiency of processes and infrastructure
• Prepare clear financial models with a focus on flexibility to change assumptions and scalability of outputs
• Drive cross-functional alignment around the operating model to ensure achievement of our business objectives
• Provide regular financial and forecasting updates to the Board of Directors
• Partner with all business units to provide analytical support to drive ROI and align their KPI's with inputs in the financial model
• Manage planning activities to achieve business goals, highlight major assumptions and their effects on the budget, and perform sensitivity analysis to assess a reasonable range of outcomes and risks
• Understand legal requirements and tax reporting across a variety of geographies
• Continuously improve and automate operational systems and processes
• Support the CEO operationally and administratively as necessary Required Skills:
  • Minimum 7 years in finance, consulting, VC/PE, or similar startup positions
  • Degree in economics, finance, business, accounting, STEM, or related field
  • Finance leadership experience in high growth tech companies is preferred
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, paired with hands-on growth mentality
  • High level of Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully building a finance organisation from the ground up
  • Familiarity with accounting best practices
  • Experience with capital raises, transaction structuring, and legal documents
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines at once
  • Incredibly autonomous, driven, self-motivated, and strong problem solving skills
