Job Description:

We are a Family Owned and Operated set of companies in the Service industry providing HVAC, Plumbing, and Electric mostly in the residential market. We are in need of a controller to manage day to day financial duties. We offer paid health insurance for employee and a percentage of family after that, 3% matching in a SEP IRA, Vacation, Life insurance, vision and dental available, and a fun work environment.ManagementMaintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Oversee the operations of the accounting department's goals and objectives.Oversee the accounting operations of their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.Providing management with information vital to the decision-making processHiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staffTransactionsEnsure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.Maintain the chart of accountsMaintain an orderly accounting filing system.Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.Intercompany:1.Posts Intercompany AR/AP (journal entries) on both sides for cross-companies.2.Monitors pending Intercompany requests (either Sending or Receiving).3.Ensures timely expense recognition (on both sides) for year-end Intercompany related accruals.4.Develop, document, implement and manage accounting processes, controls, and systems to ensure appropriate level of internal control.5. Reconciliation of GL balances on intercompany accounts.6. Investigation and resolution of any error with intercompany accounts.ReportingIssue timely and complete financial statementsManage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. All independently owned and operated franchised businesses operate under the service brands' marks, trademarks, trade names, logos, emblems, slogans, or other indicia of origin in connection with the Aire Serv franchise system within a specified geographical area. Only the independently owned and operated franchised business shall have any interaction with or authority for its business and make all employment related decisions related to its franchised business.
