Job Description Job Description Position Summary: The Ag Banking
Team Leader is responsible for managing and mentoring the Ag
Banking team, with a focus on sales production, fee income
generation, and credit mentoring. This role provides guidance to
team members in soliciting, developing, and maintaining profitable
relationships with agricultural business customers. The Ag Banking
Team Leader oversees the team’s ability to originate and structure
loans and manage risk before and after credit extension. This
position also serves as a resource for relationship management
within the department and represents the Bank as an experienced
advisor by providing strategic and systemic evaluation of emerging
and longer-term opportunities and threats to meeting customer
needs. The role also provides overall assistance and support to
management related to branch operations. In addition, our FIRST

change. What will you do: Accountabilities Leadership Management
Accountability Lead with clear direction, providing the necessary
tools to delegate and elevate for growth and development of
teammates. In partnership with the Ag Department Manager, identify
and set the strategic direction on agricultural banking for FNBSF.
Communicate and execute team goals and strategy utilizing EOS
model. Demonstrate and encourage a work atmosphere of teamwork and
open communication. Actively mentor staff and ensure they are
trained and motivated to perform their responsibilities in an
effective manner. Execute regular Level 10 team meetings to discuss
relevant Bank and industry updates. Relationship Management Provide
top service & relationship management. Represent our department and
personal expertise to maintain relationships and grow the ag
portfolio. Make recommendations on credit structure that will
enhance relationship while staying within guidelines. Maintain
relationships with key customers by offering excellent service and
unique solutions tailored to their operation. Collaborate with Ag
Department Manager to enhance products and services to add value to
customers. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and services
as well as knowledge of competitors and their products. Proactively
promotes bank products and services and keeps clients informed of
all solutions to meet their needs. Exercise independent judgement
and discretion to make lending decisions within established
guidelines. Business Development Initiate network opportunities to
assure customers receive quality service and to enhance
relationships with external referral sources to facilitate business
development opportunities. Provide superior service to existing
clients that leads to client retention, additions, and referrals.
Follow up on leads and opportunities to retain existing customers
and attract new relationships. Execute plan to achieve the
department’s annual growth goals for loans and deposits to ensure
the bank meets its overall financial targets while keeping our
credit culture in mind. Lead lenders to assist them in reaching
loan and deposit growth goals. Develop new business by building
relationships with industry groups and influencers. Collaborate
with First Crop Solutions to assist in growing the insurance
portfolio. Credit Administration Maintain portfolio tickler
exceptions are maintained at 15% with minimal and appropriate
extension requests. Credit file deviations must be kept to a
minimum. Administer and monitor construction projects appropriately
to ensure project risk is sufficiently mitigated. Provide thorough
review of Customer Financial Statements to ensure proper Risk
Ratings are maintained. Ensure findings by Credit Review are
resolved or addressed without oversight from Management. Monitor
Loan Covenants appropriately. Work with officers to assign the
corresponding risk rating on loans and manage relationships in
accordance with best practices and credit culture. Keep informed of
all laws and regulations that impact the bank’s agricultural
banking activities by attending informational seminars and
meetings. Ensure all agricultural banking relationships follow the
Bank’s Loan Policy and Guidelines and applicable laws and
regulations. Community Involvement Actively promote bank in
community and identify opportunities for community involvement and
partnerships. Represent FNBSF and provide leadership in community
activities, including business, charitable, civic, and social
organizations to maintain positive reputation for the Bank. Lead Ag
education programs and/or events. Support the Ag Banking Manager in
coordination of Ag educational programs and/or events. Delegate
support and assistance functions related to community involvement.
Qualifications Secondary education in related field preferred.
Seven or more years of relevant work experience including banking
and supervision experience, or a combination of
education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet
accountabilities and required competencies of the position.
Experience with all aspects of ag lending and major credits
preferred. Completion of banking school or advanced degree also
preferred. Skills and Abilities Ability to work as a facilitator,
coach and/or mentor to others. Excellent listening and negotiation
skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability
to conduct relationships in a manner that ensures cooperation and
positive results. Demonstrate a high degree of concern for
professional and innovative customer service. Possess strong
knowledge of profitability and pricing. Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to the needs of
