Job Description Job Description Loan Operations Specialist Location: Dixon, CA and Sacramento, CA About the Role: The Loan Operations Specialist plays a key role in managing and supporting the full lifecycle of loans, from application through payoff. This position ensures that all loan activities are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with internal policies and federal/state regulations. The specialist is an essential part of the lending process, providing a seamless experience for both customers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Review loan files for completeness and accuracy, prepare loan packages and documentation, and ensure timely execution. Serve as a secondary point of contact for borrowers and a primary resource for colleagues, responding to inquiries and resolving loan-related issues professionally. Collect and verify title work, insurance, and liens. Process loan payments, fund disbursements, payoffs, and draw requests; manage escrow accounts for insurance and property taxes; reconcile general ledger accounts. Maintain accurate records, track exceptions, prepare reports for management, auditors, or third parties, and assist with audits as needed. Identify and recommend enhancements to loan operation systems and procedures to boost efficiency and productivity. Abilities: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Professionalism, collaboration, and the ability to work effectively across departments. Analytical problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new skills or systems. Commitment to compliance with bank policies and regulations, including UDAAP guidelines. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum of 4 years' experience in loan operations, processing, or banking. In-depth knowledge of loan products, servicing policies, and procedures. Experience with property and liability insurance, escrow disbursements, and secondary market reporting preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; willingness to learn new systems. Familiarity with Fiserv Premier Navigator, F.I.S. Horizon, Imaging and Director software, and LaserPro documentation software a plus.
