Job Description:
The University of Sioux Falls invites applications for a
full-time position in Education to begin in the Fall of 2023. Rank
and salary are commensurate with education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must possess an earned Master's degree in
Education, Educational Leadership, or closely related field at the
time of appointment. An earned Doctorate in Education or closely
related field is required for tenure. PK-12 teaching experience is
required. The successful candidate will have a minimum five years
of demonstrated excellence in teaching and leadership in an
education environment, will be knowledgeable in pk-8 math and
science curriculum, assessment, and program development, and will
possess the ability to work collaboratively with PK-12 school
personnel. Teaching experience at the university level and
experience with university supervision of teacher residents are
preferred, but not required. Experience with state approval and
national accreditation requirements is preferred but not required.
Personal commitment to the Christian faith and the integration of
faith and learning as well as a commitment to the mission of the
University of Sioux Falls as a Christian liberal arts university is
required. RESPONSIBILITIESThis is a full-time position within the
Fredrikson School of Education. Responsibilities include teaching
undergraduate methods courses on ground or online, directing field
experiences, working directly with adjunct faculty, recruiting and
advising students, and working to build a strong and vibrant
teacher residency program while collaborating with faculty and
staff members. Faculty members are also expected to develop
partnerships with local school districts and community agencies,
serve on faculty committees, participate in accreditation and
assessment activities, stay active in professional organizations,
and participate in the life of the university.ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
