This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced school psychologist ready to provide vital support covering a maternity leave from April through the end of the school year. Serving a K-12 school in Aurora, IL, this role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to student development in a dynamic educational environment. Responsibilities include: Conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results to inform instruction and intervention strategies Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans Providing counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to school-wide mental health initiatives Assisting in data collection and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulations Preferred qualifications: Valid school psychologist certification/license applicable in Illinois Experience working with K-12 students across diverse educational and socio-emotional needs Strong understanding of special education laws, assessment tools, and intervention strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively within a hybrid schedule, blending remote and onsite duties This position offers a hybrid work option, providing flexibility while maintaining essential in-person engagement with staff and students.
