The Facilities & Services Department at South Dakota State University (SDSU) is seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to join our project management and engineering team. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing campus construction projects and working with other project managers, architects, engineers and trade staff on a wide variety of construction and renovation projects of all sizes. This position will work with a diverse set of stakeholders across campus, ensuring projects meet the intended programs and provide safe and comfortable facilities for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors to SDSU. This is a 12-month, full-time position, offering great benefits and a generous leave package. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project management, including new construction, remodel, renovation, and demolition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field. Completed by start date;* At least one year of experience in project management;* Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;* Demonstrated effective customer service skills;* Organized, detailed, and results oriented;* Valid driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire;* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make good decisions based on the best interests of the campus community.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* At least three years of experience in managing new construction or remodel and renovation projects.
