What You'll Do: Diverse Tasks: From patching pavement and repairing guard rails to mowing and plowing snow, your day will be full of varied and meaningful work. Safety First: Operate and maintain essential equipment like maintainers, trucks, and loaders while ensuring all safety and traffic regulations are followed. Community Engagement: Maintain positive public relations and uphold a professional appearance, as you’re a key part of our county’s image. A Typical Day Includes: Receiving and executing daily assignments Handling and maintaining road repair equipment Working on various highway related tasks from maintenance to Installing signs Keeping detailed records and reports Qualifications We’re Looking For: License Requirements: Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 180 days of hire. Skills: Knowledge of road maintenance materials, tools, and methods, plus the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
