The Regional Vice President (RVP) Business Development is a highly experienced sales leader who provides expert level credit and sales guidance, creates a positive team environment where winning happens, thrives in a fast paced, highly competitive market and has a proven change management mindset that is focused on growth. This role will work with 16 counties in the Northwest Iowa Region. This position reports to the SVP of Business Development and will lead a team of successful and results driven salespeople. This role will require that you spend around 50% of your time on day-time travel within the region. Rural America is where we work. Farmers and ranchers are the ones we serve. Key Duties and Responsibilities Business Development: Provide a focus on sales leadership - leading sales enablement responsibilities of all retail lending products. Lead the periodic regional market assessment to identify and develop a regional sales strategy. Coordinate with other Regional Leaders to determine effective local sales and regional promotions/advertising. Coordinate involvement with other Regional Leaders to develop effective relations with local producer/community groups. In conjunction with the RVP Related Services and RVP Operations, coordinate lending sales activities within the Regional Business Development Team. Coordinate the annual regional lending sales and business development strategy and plan. Implement sound application of pricing components. In coordination with the SVP Business Development, RVP Related Services, RVP Operations and Sales Enablement Team, continually assess the regional business environment to ensure marketing strategies are meeting regions needs and achieving desired growth objectives. Promote strategies that deliver an unrivaled customer. Provide indirect leadership support for Insurance Sales and Regional Operations team members. Coordinate with the RVP-Related Services and RVP Operations to facilitate a customer centric sales and service culture to deliver unrivaled customer experiences and drive lending and related services growth objectives across all products and related services. Maintain an active and visible presence in the assigned Region with key customer relationships. Credit Leadership: Provide leadership, direction and counsel to the delivery of Association credit philosophy. Has direct involvement/understanding of key accounts, including monitoring of teams for compliance to credit procedures and policies. Coordinate work activity and processes with RVP Operations and Credit Underwriting team members and leaders. Assure compliance with internal controls, reporting requirements and other administrative duties for assigned team. Product Delivery: Coordinate with Retail Commercial Lending team members and leader as transition of existing accounts occur and as team members coordinate to achieve growth and sales objectives in this market segment. Executes product pricing, product enhancement to tailor products to meet customer needs while achieving organizational goals. Other Key Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain a significant "professional presence" throughout the local business community, generally contribute to the Farm Credit Services of America image as the leading ag financial institution. Lead toward the Association's Strategic and Business Plans and operate within budget guidelines and constraints. Minimum Qualifications 8 years of experience in Lending Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Finance, Economics or Business Experience in leading a team Experience in servicing a large complex book of business with high level credit skills Proven record of growing a book of business
