you'll do here:The Senior Director of Sales, ed2go will lead,
develop, and engage a team of sales professionals responsible for
new business development, account management, and sales operations
for ed2go's Academic, Workforce, and National partner networks. As
a strategic, data driven sales leader, the Sr. Director will
deliver on the sales forecasts ensuring team, resources, and plans
are in place to deliver against revenue targets. Responsible for
hiring, mentoring, performance management and developing of sales
and account management teams.With understanding of the marketplace
and trends, you will serve as a key source of insight into the
competitive and partner landscape, strategy, and news; analyzing
pipeline and lead data. Core responsibilities include creating
incentive plans designed to drive achievement of business goals,
forecasting revenue sourced from academic partners, developing and
scaling account-based strategies, and providing executive input and
collaboration for strategic business decisions. This role will
partner with the sales leader in Cengage Work's Corporate business
line to ensure appropriate teaming to achieve business goals The
Senior Director of Sales will support, promote, and enhance
Cengage's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.Skills you
will need here:
- Proven track record of scaling sales teams from $60M to $200M+
in annual revenue
- Ability to forecast revenue and sales activities and deliver on
performance targets
- Ability to identify Strategic B2B accounts as target
partners
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing sales
activities across buyer journeys that drive new partner acquisition
and account performance
- Ability to empower teams through incentives and
performance
- Develops sales and account management teams through a culture
of learning and development and performance management
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate
effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both
technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred qualifications:
- 10+ years of strategic B2B sales experience
- 5+ years in sales leadership experience
- Preferred background selling in education, workforce or
healthcare
- Strategic knowledge / approach to the grants landscape and
