Universal Healthcare Associates is an agency that provides temporary placement at long term care, post-acute, rehab and memory care facilities. We are hiring skilled nurses for all shifts at our Lake Park, Iowa locations. Flexible shifts are available on Evening, Nights and Weekends. Earn top dollar and control your own schedule. Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the incumbent Registered Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of Nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized Nursing Care Plans to ensure that the needs of the customers are met. He/she assists in the orientation of and supervision of Nursing personnel, attends to the daily operations of the unit on a per shift, unit level and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed. RESPONSIBLITIES: * Directs customer assessment and care
* Supervises Nursing personnel
* Creates Nursing Care Plans
* Assesses residents and takes action an needed
* Accompany Physician on rounds
* Prepares daily assignment of duties and treatments
* Attends all mandated in-services
* Dispenses medication, performs treatments and documents accurately
* Notifies residents attending Physician, family or Legal Representative of any significant change in the residents health condition Requirements: * Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse license
* Knowledge of nursing principles are also required.
* Experience in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing is preferred
