Job Description:
Brookings Health System is seeking an Emergency Department
Health Unit Coordinator to join our team and be part of the
Brookings Health System mission: To provide high quality,
compassionate, personalized health care. This is a night shift,
part-time position and will be 1 - 12 hour shift per week which
will include every 3rd weekend. This position combines clerical and
customer service skills and requires an individual who is attentive
to detail, has knowledge of medical terminology, and demonstrates
excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
Registers emergency department (ED) patients in a timely and
courteous manner. Assists with patient care under direct and
indirect supervision of RN staff. Demonstrates an ability to use
good judgment for maintaining confidentiality, solving problems and
working well under stress.
