What to expect:
The Health Educator II facilitates youth leadership and/or peer
education programming that increases access to sex education to
Indigenous communities in South Dakota. Fulfills leadership role
within assigned team by taking on additional responsibilities such
as peer mentorship, administrative tasks, and contributing to
curriculum and program development. Delivers human sexuality
education to diverse learners and promote reproductive health
services to meet the goals of the Education Department and support
the mission of Planned Parenthood North Central States, under
direct supervision from the Manager of Indigenous Initiatives of
Education. Health Educators are advocates in implementing our
mission To affirm the right to reproductive and sexual health and
freedom for all by providing excellent care, trusted education, and
fierce advocacy .
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5pm. Occasional weekend and evening
hours. During programing it will be 1 evening a week for several
months, typically programming happens twice a year. Travel will be
required.
