  • The Licensed Practical Nurse in the Dialysis Unit assists with providing hemodialysis treatments for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process within the scope of practice for an LPN.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera's values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
  • Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives. Education and/or Experience
    • Graduate of a licensed practical nursing curriculum or its equivalent is preferred.
    • Prefer 6-12 months experience on Med-Surg Unit.
    • 6 months-1 year of experience is preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Must have current LPN licensure in the state of SD or "multi-state privilege" to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD
      • BLS certification within 60 days of hire Work Schedule
        • Monday-Friday, rotating shifts, 5:00am-3:30pm, 5:00am-5:00pm; PRN (as needed) Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
