The Link, a community triage center in Sioux Falls, assists individuals experiencing non-violent behavioral health crises, substance abuse disorders, or in need of support services.   • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and comprehensive team that includes physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, paramedics, triage techs, social workers, and behavioral health techs.
  • Self-scheduling program. Job Summary The role of an addiction nurse is unique, involving both psychological and physical treatment. Substance abuse nurses may monitor and assess the detoxification process, participate in patient interventions, and administer drugs to help patients manage their addiction. Education and/or Experience:
    • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is also preferred.
    • Motivational interviewing and listening skills are required. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
      • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
      • Strongly encouraged to complete life-saving education specific to specialty area.
      • Certification in specialty encouraged. Membership in a professional organization is also encouraged. Work Schedule
        • Day/Evening/Night Shifts: 7:00am-7:30pm, 7:00pm-7:30am; PRN (as needed) with occasional weekends. Pay The hourly range for this position is $32.00 - $46.50 per hour, dependent upon experience. What Makes Avera Special?
