Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska
or multi-state licensure in a nurse licensure compact state.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have:
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Science in
Nursing preferred. Description: We are seeking an experienced
Travel In-Patient Registered Nurse for our Medical unit for a
13-week day shift assignment. The ideal candidate will be
adaptable, quick-thinking, and able to thrive in a high-acuity,
fast-paced environment. You will be providing compassionate and
efficient care to a diverse patient population alongside a
supportive clinical team. The Inpatient Clinical Nurse possesses
the ability to objectively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
nursing care as a licensed Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse
also works in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary medical team
focused on providing patient-centered care. This includes
identification of psycho-social needs, continuity of care related
to disease prevention and chronic disease management, as well as
providing patient education to promote health literacy. Specific
job duties and responsibilities include demonstrating core mission,
vision, and values. You will function as the primary care nurse and
assume responsibility of charge nurse duties to provide optimal
quality of patient care. Comprehensive initial admission
assessments will be completed. You will create nursing care plans
based on identified or remarkable initial objective assessments.
Providing interventions as ordered by the medical provider will be
part of your role. You will evaluate patient responses to
interventions and promptly notify the medical provider of patient
conditions whenever necessary. Specimen collection will be part of
your responsibilities. You will generate consults to appropriate
disciplines based on initial admission assessment findings.
Assisting with discharge planning will be required. You will
provide patient disease preventable vaccines before discharge.
Discharge instructions related to disease processes and home
management, as well as follow-up appointments with primary care
providers, will be provided to ensure continuity of care.
Demonstrating the ability to float to areas of need to meet patient
demand is expected. You may assist with emergency response
preparedness operations. You will make decisions in matters of
significance. Other duties as assigned may be required. Physical
requirements include the ability to lift 20-50 lbs. Lifting and/or
transferring patients may involve heavy lifting. You will be
regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of
time. Manual dexterity with a full range of motion in all
extremities is required. Fine motor skills are necessary. Mental
requirements include reading, writing, and calculating.
Above-average social interaction skills, as well as reasoning and
analysis abilities, are important. You will work with minimal to no
supervision. Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak the
English language fluently. You must be able to continually and
effectively employ professional verbal and written communication
