Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work
Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on-call
involvement (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for
this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon
experience. $67,600.00 - $101,400.00 Position Highlights May be
eligible for a $15,000 sign on bonus with a 3 year contract
commitment. Student Loan Repayment: Position may be eligible for

and our patients. Work where you matter. A Brief Overview Acts as a
clinical resource assuring implementation of program
policy/procedures and regulatory compliance. Oversees and provides
care to acute and chronic dialysis patients as well as coordination
of day to day operations by managing staff assignments and duties.
What you will do Provides direct patient care to dialysis patients.
Supervises and coordinates day-to-day operations of the unit to
include staffing and patient scheduling. Duties are performed in
such a manner as to ensure the unit operates in a safe and
efficient manner. Assists leader in the review, implementation, and
compliance of Avera policies and procedures, and requirement of
outside regulatory agencies. Assists with submission of quality and
regulatory reporting as directed. Assists with the collection and
analysis of performance improvement data. Reviews patient treatment
plan with direct caregivers and primary nurses. Offers
suggestions/interventions to enhance efficiency and quality of
care. Communicates and rounds with patients and staff as directed.
Coordinates operations and procedures including biomedical matters,
physician orders, supplies, primary nursing, and regulatory
reporting as directed. Rounds with physicians and provides patient
updates. Follows through with physician orders. Facilitates
resolution of staff/family/patient concerns and reports to proper
management as necessary. Utilizes order sets to timely order lab
work. Monitors lab results and reports abnormal results to
nephrologist. Assists the leader as requested with staff
orientation and staff development, procedure development and
revision, and patient education. Essential Qualifications The

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the
state of practice Upon Hire Preferred Education,
License/Certification, or Work Experience: Certified Dialysis Nurse
(CDN) - Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) Upon
Hire Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) - Nephrology Nursing
Certification Commission (NNCC) Upon Hire Dialysis experience or
