Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Trauma I experience and a BSN for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting using EPIC. Responsibilities - Work in the Operating Room of a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital - 35 operating rooms with assignments circulating one OR per nurse - Shifts are typically 10 hours, with requirements to work independently and every 4th weekend - Schedule may include 3-4 late or flex shifts per 4-week period, 1-4 overnight call shifts per week, and 1 late shift per week (830-1900 or 1030-2100) - No floating to other units, but flexibility to work across all OR specialties as needed - Uses EPIC EMR system - Responsibilities include circulating in the OR for surgical procedures and participating in call rotation - Orientation includes one day for hospital systems and up to one week for unit-specific training - Scrubs are provided in ceil blue; earrings are not permitted and the surgical dress code must be followed - Local candidates within an 80-mile radius may be considered - Travelers with previous employment at Sanford Health must have a separation of at least 6 months prior to consideration Requirements - Active SD or compact state RN license - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience - Trauma I OR experience required - Experience working independently in the OR Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627184.
