This role requires a solid understanding of nursing principles relevant to the clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate nursing competency and adhere to age-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of residents as outlined in their care plans. Conduct assessments and administer medications or treatments as prescribed. Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as necessary. Document interactions with residents and track outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activities, and dietary needs. Foster effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the community. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support residents and their families in understanding prevention and treatment plans. Utilize knowledge of resident education principles to create self-care programs. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. If IV therapy/management skills are required, completion of a Board-approved AASPN program or an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing is necessary. Must have completed a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience or possess a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN in another facility. Current unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or multi-state licensure privileges. Completion of required annual continuing education units (CEUs) and competency training as mandated by the department and facility.
