Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center is on a mission to uplift the
health standards in underserved communities by providing dedicated
and specialized long-term care. We are seeking a Certified
Medication Assistant (CMA) to join our compassionate team, where
you will play a vital role in administering medications and
overseeing the wellness of our residents. This position requires
precision, empathy, and a deep understanding of patient care in a
long-term setting. You will work under the supervision of nursing
staff to ensure that all medications are administered safely and
effectively, following all relevant healthcare regulations and
center policies. Administer oral and topical medications as
prescribed by the healthcare provider. Document and update patient
records with medication timing and doses. Monitor patients for
reactions and side effects of medications. Communicate with nursing
staff about patient conditions and any potential medication
interactions. Attend and participate in team meetings to discuss
patient care. Ensure that all medication procedures are in
compliance with state laws and regulations. Educate patients and
their families about proper medication management. Knowledge of
medication dosing and administration for elderly patients.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong
observational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively
in a team setting. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Assistant (CMA)
certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
preferred.
