In this vital role, you will be instrumental in administering daily medication to our residents, under the supervision of registered nurses, and ensuring that our commitment to holistic health and wellness is met through precise and compassionate care. This position requires a deep understanding of patient needs and a dedication to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly and disabled in long-term care settings. Administer daily medications to residents as prescribed and supervise self-administration, ensuring compliance with all health care regulations. Monitor patients' responses to medications and document adverse reactions. Maintain accurate medication administration records and report any discrepancies or irregularities. Educate patients on the proper use of medications and potential side effects. Assist with ordering, storing, and securing medications in adherence to applicable laws and policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care. Participate in training and professional development sessions to improve competency and professional skills. Strong organizational and communication skills Detailed knowledge and understanding of medication types, uses, and administration methods Ability to adhere to health and safety policies and procedures Proficient in the use of medical software for medication management Empathy and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with elderly and disabled patients Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Medication Assistant (CMA) mandatory CPR and First Aid certification Any state-specific certifications required for handling and administering medications
