Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Winnebago, NE Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,649 to $1,843 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title MT MLT City/State: Winnebago, Nebraska Shift: 7 PM to 730 AM, 7 on 7 off, 12 hr shifts. Contract Length: 112 weeks Start Date: 03/09/2026 Job Description: To perform laboratory testing for the laboratory. This is a 7 on 7 off position working Wednesday-Tuesday during your workweek. Shift is 7 PM to 730 AM. This position includes working every other weekend during your scheduled workweek and holidays if they fall during your scheduled shift. Overtime applies after 80 hours in a pay period. The ability to manage workflow independently on overnight shifts is essential. Multitasking, prioritizing, and responding to codes and traumas is crucial. Skilled at specimen acquisition. Responsibilities: Perform analyses, tests, and procedures assisting in prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases. Accessioning/ordering tests in the Laboratory Information Systems and processing specimens for referral. Operate, maintain, and calibrate equipment to ensure efficient and accurate results. Perform basic troubleshooting as needed. Maintain documentation according to regulatory agencies and laboratory policies and procedures. Adherence to sterilization and infection control procedures due to exposure to infectious clinical specimens. Perform analytical testing on patient specimens with skill, accuracy, proficiency, and dedication. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and perform routine phlebotomy. Requirements: Medical Laboratory Technician with Associate's degree from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory Science, certified/registered by one of the following agencies: MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), CLT(NCA). Medical Technologist with a Bachelor's degree from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory Science, certified/registered by one of the following agencies: MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), CLS(NCA). Minimum of one year of experience preferred. Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control, chemical and biological hazards. Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies and standards. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently with professional verbal and written communication skills. Compliance with child abuse or violent felony declaration prior to employment and criminal records check regulations. Requirements Required for Onboarding Core Mandatory Part III
