Job Description:

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our triage team, providing exceptional first-point-of-contact care in one of the largest health systems in the United States. This role is pivotal in assessing patient needs over the phone or upon arrival, directing them to appropriate care, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow within our health facilities. Our RN Triage professionals are critical in our mission to deliver health and healing to the community we serve. Assess patient conditions via phone or in-person and determine the proper care pathway Provide instructions and health education to patients and families Coordinate with physicians and other health team members to expedite the delivery of care Document patient encounters accurately and comprehensively Manage patient flow to minimize wait times and support the medical staff Handle emergency situations with promptness and professionalism Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated with best practices in nursing and triage procedures Strong clinical judgment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle high-stress situations Proficient in medical software and documentation Empathy and reassurance in patient interactions Quick decision-making skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice CPR certified Additional certification in emergency nursing or triage is preferred
