Range: $2,020 – $2,130 - EMR: Epic (Epic EMR experience preferred)
- Orientation: 16 hours - Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend;
holiday rotation if scheduled Qualifications / Job Requirements -
Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg and/or Oncology RN experience
(required) — strong medical-surgical nursing and oncology nursing
background preferred - Active Iowa RN license (required) - BLS
(AHA) certification (required) - ACLS (AHA) certification
(required) - NIHSS certification (required; may be obtained during
onboarding) - Experience administering IV drips: Heparin, PCA,
epidural (required); chemotherapy administration experience if
chemo-certified - High-acuity care experience preferred - Travel
nursing experience preferred (traveler-friendly orientation and
expectations) - Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles
from the facility - Submission materials required: driver’s
license, work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1
year), license verification, copies of required certifications, and
one supervisory reference Primary Responsibilities - Provide safe,
patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care for medical-surgical
and oncology patients - Perform comprehensive assessments and
monitor patients for changes in condition; escalate concerns to the
interdisciplinary team - Administer medications, IV drips, and
chemotherapy if certified to do so - Collaborate with physicians,
pharmacists, and allied health professionals to develop and
implement individualized care plans - Educate patients and families
on diagnoses, medications, symptom management, and post-discharge
care - Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient
responses in Epic EMR - Float within the same discipline across
local campuses as needed to support staffing - Contribute to a
positive team environment and uphold high standards of patient
