registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years NICU RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing
care in a high-acuity Level III NICU environment supporting
neonates from 24 weeks gestation and up, including micro preemies,
grower feeders, and infants requiring respiratory support or
surgical care. This role demands expert clinical judgment and
compassionate care during overnight hours to ensure the best
outcomes for vulnerable patients. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7
PM to 7 AM Every other weekend required Possible float to nearby
campus based on census Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive,
individualized nursing care to NICU patients with complex medical
needs Monitor and manage high-acuity infants, including those on
respiratory support and post-surgical care Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams using Epic charting system to maintain
accurate patient records Support families through education and
compassionate communication Qualifications and Experience: Active
Illinois RN license Minimum 2 years experience in Level III NICU
nursing Certification in CPR and NRP required Skilled in caring for
neonatal patients from 24 weeks gestation and up, including micro
preemies and grower feeders Experience with high-acuity neonates
and familiarity with respiratory and surgical NICU care Location
