Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) unit as a Local Traveler. This position plays a pivotal role in delivering excellent care to our underserved communities, with a focus on holistic health and wellness outcomes. As an RN in our LTC unit, you will have the unique opportunity to make a difference each day by providing top-notch nursing care tailored to the needs of elderly patients. This role demands a compassionate approach to care, rigorous clinical knowledge, and the ability to adapt to changing environments as you travel locally between facilities. Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessitated by patient responses Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate integrated, comprehensive care Educate patients and families on disease processes, surgical procedures, and other aspects of patient care Implement patient care plans and track outcomes Respect the cultural diversity of patients and provide considerate, patient-centered care Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of patient care Strong clinical skills in a long-term care setting Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Capacity to manage time effectively and handle the stress of high-pressure situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
