Join Good Samaritan Health Center, a leader in delivering exceptional healthcare services to underserved communities, as a Certified Medication Aid (CMA). In this role, you will be a pivotal part of our healthcare team, focusing on medication management and patient care in alignment with our mission to promote holistic health and wellness outcomes. You will work closely with our dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of medical and supportive care. Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain related medical records under supervision of a registered nurse. Verify patient information and confirm purpose of the prescribed pharmaceuticals. Observe patients for drug reactions and record adverse reactions. Measure and record patients' vital signs prior to administering medications as required. Instruct patients on the consumption of medications and the potential side effects. Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and safety standards. Maintain an organized and clean medication supply. Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare teams and contribute to team meetings. Profound knowledge of medication types, dosages, and administration methods. Ability to monitor and record patient vital signs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal communication abilities. Proficiency in maintaining medication inventory and records.
