The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate
dependent upon experience. $27.75 - $41.25 Position Highlights May
be eligible for a $3000 sign on bonus This nurse will complete
venous and central lab specimen collections for the oncology
patient population. This position is located in the Prairie Center
and serves the Avera Cancer Institute clinic patients. Hours for
the position are 7:30 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. This
location is closed on weekends and holidays. You Belong at Avera Be

matter. A Brief Overview The RN is responsible for the collection
of Line-Based specimens as well as peripheral vein phlebotomy. The
RN is responsible for providing front line evaluation of patient
condition presentation to ensure that any variance is brought to
the attention of the appropriate clinician in a timely manner in
accordance with established protocols. What you will do - Provides
patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicating
the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other
members of the health care team; coordinating with other healthcare
providers; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and
spiritual support to patients, families, and friends; conferring
with physicians. /n - Develops nursing care plans by obtaining
medical histories; examining patients; documenting patient physical
condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors;
conferring with family and friends; developing a nursing diagnosis;
establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing
interventions, schedules, and timetables. /n - Teaches healthcare
requirements by establishing patient care goals; instructing
patient, family, and friends to understand condition, medications,
and self-care skills; answering questions; providing information
and resources. /n - Evaluates patient care by adhering to
therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient
care standards; reviewing patient records; noting changing
conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives; modifying
nursing care plan. /n - Maintains safe, secure, and healthy patient
care environment by adhering to infection-control policies and
protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and
controlled substance regulations; adhering to organization
standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others
regarding potential concerns. /n - Documents patient care services
by charting in patient and department records. /n - Keeps patient
care equipment operating by following operating instructions and
established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining
supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
/n - Keeps patient care supplies ready by checking stock;
anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying
receipt; stocking items. /n - Maintains competence in nursing
capabilities outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications The
individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to
communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: -
High School or GED Equivalent - Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of
Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: -
Associate's Degree - 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical
