Whoever you are and where you are in your career, Vermeer helps you be Equipped to Do More -.Job SummaryWork Shift2 - Second ShiftThe Group Leader supports the associate area manager and/or production area manager in leading all aspects of the assigned team by facilitating communication concerning training, planning, direct work or special assignments. This position ensures on-time delivery by troubleshooting and solving issues as they arise. This role acts as the associate area manager and/or production area manager during times of absence.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.2. Encourage team members to be customer focused when moving product to next stage in the value stream.3. Demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement by applying lean principles to support the team and helping complete follow-up items from kaizen events.4. Manage information on managing for daily improvement (MDI) board to ensure information is updated and accurate.6. Ensure team members have appropriate tools to effectively complete their job tasks.7. Train team members on safe work practices and enforces safety rules and procedures.8. Allow opportunities for current team member development and facilitates training of new team members.Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)/high school equivalency test (HiSET).
  • Minimum one year related experience.Other Skills and Abilities
