Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center, renowned for its dedication to
underserved communities, is seeking a skilled Cook for our Long
Term Care facility. This role demands a compassionate individual
who can provide our residents with nutritious, dietary-specific
meals that support their health and wellness. With a focus on
quality and service, the ideal candidate will maintain the highest
standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, adhering to
dietary standards set by our health experts and patient needs.
Prepare daily meals according to predetermined menus and dietary
requirements. Ensure sanitary cooking conditions and comply with
health and safety regulations. Maintain inventory of kitchen
supplies and food items. Assist in menu planning and the creation
of new dishes. Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet the
dietary needs and preferences of residents. Monitor kitchen
equipment and ensure it is kept in excellent working condition.
Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff as needed. Strong
cooking and food preparation skills Knowledge of health and safety
regulations in a kitchen Ability to adhere to dietary and
nutritional guidelines Time management and organizational abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills Medical Insurance
