Contract - 6 Months - 1 April 2021 - Toronto, ON Canada On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Java Developer - FX Derivatives.

• FX Derivative team is looking for specialized developer for eFX growth project with expertise and knowledge.
• Work closely with lead Business Analysts (BAs) to understand business requirements and craft software solutions to meet requirements.
• Participate in hands-on development, writing new software and enhancing existing frameworks as needed in Java/J2EE/JEE with Oracle back-ends.
• Familiar with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Write and ensure all unit test cases are executed through the development lifecycle as needed.
• Enhance technical documentation and architecture diagrams with any changes needed.
• Work closely with testing team throughout SIT phase of development.
• Liaise with other technical groups with the bank to ensure solutions meet technical requirements of consumer groups.
• Effectively and proactively communicate with team leads to ensure all challenges are understood and addressed.
• Work in a QA process-oriented environment.
• FX team will be integrating FX capabilities with other LOBs
• This will require skilled developers with extensive AWS cloud experience with more applications moving to the cloud such as FX Retail Engine
• FX team will be migrating current on-premises applications to the cloud such as FXR and FX Rate service to centralize the FX offering across the different channels
• Long run: More initiatives to come on eFX growth program and Application rationalization that require cloud expertise and highly skilled developers. Java Developer - FX Derivatives - Mandatory Skills
  • Java/J2EE/JEE/XML/.NET/VBA
  • J2EE/JEE/XML, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JSP, IBM MQ Series, IBM/Hibernate /IBM Websphere MQ, IBM Websphere Application
  • SQL/PL-SQL Experience (with the most impactful work centered on analyzing and sanitizing)
  • Unix shell scripting (Create or Update scripts as per defined business requirements)
  • Working knowledge of UNIX environment (Korn/Bash shell scripting)
  • Bitbucket, Clearcase, Bamboo, Maven, Ant experience (Working experience developing and building versioned code)
  • Agile/ SDLC/Scrum/Sprint (Experience working in an environment using these methodologies)
  • ETL Tools and development (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server)
  • Developed utilities focused on client data reconciliation between many databases
  • Unit test creation and maintenance (Java/Junit/Mockito
  • Unit testing framework like Mockito, Junit while working for different clients.
  • Object Oriented Design Experience
