Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a dynamic Guest Service Representative to join our team. As a GSR, youll be responsible for providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner. We are less than one month away from being a 2019 Award Winner and we need to continue to drive customer satisfaction! Job Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of a Guest Service Representative include:Checking guests in and out of the hotel in a efficient, courteous and professional mannerEnsuring that special requests are noted and fulfilled if availableCommunicating with all departments regarding in house VIPs and any special requests/needsPromoting and selling special hotel programs, special rate packages and upgrades when appropriateInteracting with hotel associates in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationAnswering the telephone in a professional manner and assisting guests with any questions, directions, etc.Managing and resolving all guest complaints and compliments in a professional and courteous mannerListening and responding to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voiceMaintaining an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities as well as any special events Job Requirements The ideal Front Desk Agent candidate will have at least one year of Front Desk Agent experience, exceptional communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for positive, upbeat individuals who can deliver total guest satisfaction. The minimum qualifications for this position are:High school degree or equivalentStrong computer skillsPleasant telephone demeanor Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional mannerMust have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voiceMust have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekendsPersonal qualifications:1. Keeps appropriate business information confidential both on and off duty.6. Is well groomed and maintains personal hygiene appropriate for a business setting; adheres to dress code policy.7. Maintains clean and orderly work area and equipment.8. Communicates well with supervisors; communicates well orally, and in writing; writes legibly.9. Handles guest complaints effectively. Understands and reacts effectively to the needs and interests of the hotel guests.10. Is honest and reliable; can be trusted.11. Cooperates with co-workers and creates a team environment.12. Is able to operate a 10 key adding machine.13. Is able to operate front desk computer (Property Management System).14. Possesses knowledge of accounting basics.15. Displays good judgment and common sense.16. Strives to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.17. Is able to speak and read effectively in the English language.18. Complies with BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012 standards. Knows the potential hazards of any chemicals used and the proper personal protective equipment required. Uses personal protective equipment as directed by Safety Data Sheets.
