Dakota State University is accepting applications for an
Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a 10-month position.
Responsibilities include assisting the head athletic trainer with
the operation of the DSU Sports Medicine Clinic and its
intercollegiate athletic teams. Salary is commensurate with
qualifications and experience. Full benefit package included.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or
related field and have NATA-BOC certification and must have or be
eligible for South Dakota state licensure.
Master's degree preferred.
Applicants should have knowledge of the methods in the
recognition, evaluation and assessment of injuries; First Aid and
CPR certifications is required. They must have the ability to
communicate information clearly and concisely; complete injury
reports in a timely manner; establish effective working
relationships with the coaching staff, student athletes, and
administration; work evening and weekend hours; travel as needed
and have basic computer skills.
Dakota State University competes in the North Star Athletic
Association (NSAA) of the NAIA. DSU currently offers 13 sports; 6
for men, 6 for women and one coed. DSU is in Madison, SD.
