Job Description:
Store Location: US-SD-Sioux Falls Overview:The Employee Training
Coordinator coordinates the training of newly hired employees and
the staffing, retention and development of Skill Trainers. The ETC
conducts new employee orientation, and manages the staffing and
development of Skill Trainer team to support new employee training.
The ETC supports Personal Achievement Responsibility (PAR)
progression, compliance training and new system
rollouts.Responsibilities:Skill Trainer Staffing and
DevelopmentDevelop and maintain a Skill Trainer Staffing PlanPosts
Skill Trainer PositionsIn partnership with the GM conducts
interviews and selects qualified candidates to become certified
Skill Trainers.Manages the development and training of Skill
Trainers.Oversees Skill Trainer Academy which includes tracking
trainer certification progressTracks Skill Trainer meeting
attendance in CBUPrepares & presents Skill Trainer
evaluationsRising Star TrainingManages the Orientation training
process for all Rising Star EmployeesDevelops and maintains the
Training Plan for the Rising StarConducts Rising Star
MeetingsConducts Plate Appearance Class (for new Servers &
Grill)Conducts Point of Sale (POS) Workbook trainingCompliance
Training AdministrationProvides training support to the store for
regulatory training requirements and other policy reviews as needed
or assigned (Food Protection Manager, Food Handler, Employment
Policy reviews, and training)Personal Achievement Responsibility
(PAR) Progression OversightProvides guidance to the store
management team on PAR progression so the management team can
ensure PAR progression and participationAnalyze PAR reports for
concerns and opportunitiesFollows up with Employees to encourage
PAR participationPosts PAR eligibility reportsPrepares distributes,
and orders PAR Certificates for Promotion and new hire
apronsTroubleshoots with the PAR Department any PAR promotion
issuesStore Management CollaborationChampions Cracker Barrel's
policies to ensure a safe work environment that encourages and
celebrates diverse workforce that reflects the local communityRole
models the Quality and Service Standards within the Cycle of
Service at all times, whether it is interacting with the Guests,
cleanliness, organization, hospitality, or appearanceAttends all
Restaurant meetingsSupports new system or equipment rollout
training.Qualifications:Minimum Experience and EducationPAR II or
higher employee (PAR IV preferred)1 year as a Skill TrainerHas
received passing scores on all evaluations in the past yearIs
available for any shift, including weekends and holidaysIs a proven
self-starter and able to work with minimal supervisionHas strong
computer skills (knowledge of Windows and internet
browsers)Analytical and decision making skillsStrong communication,
time management and organization skillsFlexible and adaptable to
various situationsPeople Pleasing attitude
