Ability to embrace and be fluid with changeGeneral Position Summary:The Credit Advisor (Entry Level Credit Card Origination Specialist) will be responsible for working credit application remediation and other credit department functions needed to complete customer requests for credit extension. This is a full time position with hours between 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday.

    • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers via phone or email to resolve missing document issues
    • Exception CLI processing
    • Outbound campaign calls attempting to complete application to open account
    • Credit Bureau Inquiry management
    • Educate prospective customers on application status and next steps required to complete application processing;
    • Recommend improvements, enhancements and changes to current policies and procedures
    • Perform remediation on applications including but not limited to reviewing identity or income documentation, completing employment or housing verification, and/or validating services or product valuations
    • Accurately track work completion in tools provided
    • Processing Fee Payments when necessary
    • Reopening applications after withdrawal as per policy guidelines
    • Overall credit remediation tasks as necessary for applicable portfolios
    • Other duties as needed and assigned
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as stated within the company handbook. Requirements:
      • High School diploma or equivalent
      • Minimum of one year of credit card experience preferred
      • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
      • Strong computer, keyboarding and telephone skills required. (Includes toggling between multiple computer screens and noting applications/accounts accurately and efficiently)
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
      • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Desire to assist in process improvements to increase department efficiencies
      • Ability to take the initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision making and higher level problem solving skills
      • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times in the workplacePhysical RequirementsThe work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice and communicate through human speech. This position requires the ability to operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment.
