Position Description The IT Business Analyst will manage the business systems function of Terex Utilities Watertown in the area of all operational processes with focus on supply chain and engineering and its transformation into the new corporate Enterprise Architecture. This will be a business-facing role, supporting the successful planning and delivery of IT projects for the Terex Utilities business. T he Business Analyst will actively support all aspects and phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through go live and post implementation support. The key focus of the role will be to collect and map business requirements to IT services and IT architecture ensuring business value and the quality of delivery. It will also include day-to-day support of all relevant business applications. Job Duties Acts as an interface and mediator between development teams and the internal/external customer or end user. Follows an established requirements gathering process to identify business requirements. Communicates and translates requirements to the development teams, using functional and technical specifications, statements of work, project plans, or other valid types of documentation. Coordinates developers, quality assurance teams, process owner and users to test processes and master data to ensure the required functionality and user acceptance. Creating user documentation or training materials may be also part of the role. Key Responsibilities Define, plan and implement process improvements mainly in commercial, supply chain and engineering business area at Watertown site. Manage and deliver small & medium sized IT projects. Support Utilities business portfolio & application teams in all areas to drive transformation process with focus on standardization & simplification & modernization. Interact with the various stakeholder and departments to determine requirements within projects for Utilities transformation. Collate and document business requirements using interviews, meeting/workshops, surveys, site visits, and task and workflow analysis. Prepare decision making input to document/present available options to all stakeholders and make recommendations based on financial, functional, resource, and technological considerations. Ensure that colleagues, customers and stakeholders stay informed of progress, issues, risks and interdependencies relating to operational plans and projects. Build and maintain effective working relationships with Infrastructure & Service Delivery teams, as well as the wider Terex IT organization. Considered a high-level specialist who regularly interacts and works with senior management. Basic Qualifications Two year technical degree Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or similar field Hands-on experience with Industry 4.0 technology (PHP/Python, AWS, Tulip) Experience with ERP (oracle business suite) application and implementation. Strategic planning and procedural change. Ideally has in-depth knowledge and experience in sourcing, manufacturing and engineering processes . Experience supporting projects with business users and IS/IT partners. Demonstrated analytical and basic project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Demonstrated ability to review, consolidate and communicate with all levels within IS/IT and the user community. Organized and flexible to changing business priorities. Willingness to take ownership of issues, ensure all interested parties stay informed of progress and deliver solutions. Ability to work well with people from many different cultures and disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience over geographically dispersed locations. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
