What we are looking for:

We are hiring a Trade Pricing Analyst to join our Trade and Pricing team. This position will be located in our Marshall, MN corporate office.

The Trade Pricing Analyst assists in the development and execution of sales and trade strategies with key channel customers. You will drive the development of trade goals, segments, and customer plans to achieve annual volume and profit plan goals; and ensure that all internal departments are aligned with the go-to market strategy.

What we need from you:

* Conduct competitive pricing analyses and review and analyze product pricing compared to competitors in the marketplace.
* Implement and maintain pricing infrastructures while ensuring pricing complies with guidelines and meets financial targets.
* Evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies and modified pricing structures as needed provide reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serve as the point of contact for pricing inquiries from internal sales department brokers distributors internal operations and customers.
* Analyze evaluate recommend and approve pricing in alignment with price strategy to include profit/loss analysis cost analysis competitive analysis market niche reporting regional assessment of pricing and any other analysis of interest to senior management. -Review customer or channel trade fund allocations targets and account- specific promotion planning.
* Manage and reconcile trade funds.
* Conduct post promotion ROI analyses.
* Work with Customer Planning Manager to develop and communicate all promotional elements to support programs- including the creation of new launch selling tools.
* Rank track and publish all new launch results.
* Work closely with Customer Sales Planning Manager and marketing teams in the annual planning process and assist with the development of the annual trade marketing review for the customer or channel.
* Participate in the development of category or customer strategies as well as the selling/marketing/promotional plans for the customer or channel.
* Ensure timely execution and management of strategy initiatives and the processes key elements.
* Provide sales and trade expertise in the development of customer or broker programs and supporting material.
* Ensure alignment across sales and marketing teams to ensure effective field sales execution.
* Work closely with marketing team to develop annual volume and trade spending plans for the customer's or channel's categories and brands.
* Track performance on a continuous basis to ensure that volume goals are achieved within trade spending parameters.
* Review markets with problems and/or areas for opportunity and develop action plans accordingly.
* Ensure the continual development of overall category expertise that will position the division as the category expert with customers.
* Develop presentations that will enhance the customer and division profits.
* Manage train and develop subordinates if applicable.
* Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.


Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Years of Related Experience: 4-6 years related experience (preferably in food service or retail trade industry with HQ sales planning or finance background)


* Strong analytical skills and prior knowledge in trade optimization programs trade expenditure policies and pricing strategies
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Strong leadership organizational project management and time management skills
* Intermediate PC skills including the Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
