looking for a solutions-driven individual to join our team as a
General Service Manager at our Sioux Falls, SD location. This
position requires strong leadership and communication skills and
the desire to lead a high-performance team of Technicians in a
growing agricultural market. Preferred candidates will have prior
management experience along with a service and mechanical
background. This person will be responsible for the overall service
department management and will collaborate with the Regional
Product Support Manager and other internal and external partners to
develop department personnel and achieve operational excellence
goals. Responsibilities: Responsible for KPI’s and drive
performance to achieve objectives set by Butler and OEMs excellence
programs. Leads customer experience efforts across the respective
locations service departments, including driving overarching
customer experience improvements and ensuring customer feedback is
addressed in a timely and professional manner. Maintaining strong
relationships with OEMs, dealers, and sales representatives.
Determining the needs related to special tooling, equipment,
vehicles, etc. Champion safety culture to ensure a safe working
environment for all employees. Work with parts department on back
orders, order types, returns and stocking of needed items. Assist
service managers on good wills. Ultimately responsible for
contamination control, which includes on boarding, continuous
training, and monitoring. Responsible for the career development of
managers, advisors, and technicians. Including the hiring and
termination process. Monitor and recommend Capacity & Capability
strategy with Store Manager and Product Support Manager. Assist
other stores within region to provide additional service support
when required. Lead in sharing company best practices and
implementing common processes throughout the Service Department.
Provide leadership direction to the service department. Communicate
and influence direct reports effectively to develop good working
relationships and teamwork. Communicate understanding and support
of organizational goals. Interact effectively with individuals and
groups throughout the company. Develop and maintain working
relationships with other departments to improve the overall company
performance. Aligns, partners, and collaborates with assigned HR
business partner to proactively manage staffing, workforce
development, employee communication, employee relations and support
/ develop business unit objectives. Performs other duties as
assigned. Supervisory Duties: Organizes, communicates, and
delegates responsibilities and priorities to subordinates to ensure
the successful operation of the department. Provides regular and
timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivating
employees and promoting self-development. Selects, trains and
develops employees consistent with department/division goals,
providing coaching on career development. Qualifications: Two-year
degree or equivalent experience and training preferred Prior
supervisory experience or Service Management Training preferred For
Internal Applicants, completion of the Butler Lead Yourself program
is preferred. Excellent customer service skills Good oral and
written communication skills Understanding of financial statements
Computer knowledge Must have good leadership, detail, and
organizational skills. Mechanical experience preferred Ability and
willingness to work flexible hours Must possess a clean driving
