Job Description:

Responsible for the overall process of washing, drying and sorting linen within the facility and the distribution of linen to the resident’s rooms. Will operate laundry equipment in accordance with policies and procedures of the facility. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary laundry department. Follows infection control and sanitary measures set forth by state and federal regulations and facility policy and procedures. Essential Duties: Operates washers, dryers and other laundry equipment Folding, stacking, hanging and delivery of linen. Follows safety rules and regulations of the facility. Attend required in-services as scheduled. Complete all required schedules/ checklists. Other duties as assigned. Keep all knowledge of residents confidential. Working Conditions: Must be in good mental and physical condition. Ability to perform heavy lifting and tedious jobs. Sits, stands, bends, stoops, and walks intermittently during the workday. Qualifications: Ability and willingness to cooperate with resident’s schedules and other departments. Provide privacy and dignity to residents. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm. Able to follow oral and written instructions in detail. Be 16 years of age or older.
